River snails rice noodle originated in the Guangxi province of China and is also popular in regions of Vietnam. This dish features rice noodles in a spicy and amelly broth, often with river snails and various herbs and spices. Enjoyed as a street food or in casual eateries, river snails rice noodle is a beloved dish in Guangxi and is often accompanied by lively street performances and cultural events.

Legend has it that Luosifen originated in the Tang Dynasty when poet Liu Zongyuan, exiled to Liuzhou, Guangxi, suffered from poor health and appetite until Chef Zhou Wanfu improvised a dish using snails found by the river, impressing Liu Zongyuan and leading to the dish's popularity.
